Law School Celebration
21 May 2012
The Law School celebration held in the Alumni Marquee on 4 May was very well received by 400 alumni, friends, faculty and students. The distinguished audience joined Dean Andrew Stockley in celebrating the Law School's many successes, including being ranked among the world's top 20 law schools and recent international mooting success.

The gathering was also the public launch of the Law School's Innovation and Development fund. As Patron of the Campaign, the former Governor-General, Sir Anand Satyanand, spoke of his time at the Law School and acknowledged the many distinguished alumni, past and present. A pictorial account of the Law School, from its small beginnings in 1883 and through its many homes to the graduation of law students earlier in the week, provided an evocative backdrop to the evening and a reminder of the school's history and progress.
The feedback from guests has been overwhelmingly positive, which we hope will lay the platform for on-going engagement and crystallise in support for the Campaign which has now reached 50 % of its target of $5 million.
